All In WA Concert Raises $55M toward $65M Goal and Draws Nearly 1 Million Viewers

All In WA Concert to Re-Air on KING 5 July 16 at 7:30 pm PT and KONG on July 18 at 8:30 pm PT

WASHINGTON – All In WA, a coordinated, statewide relief effort launched by nonprofits, community leaders, businesses, and philanthropies across the state that support workers and families who have been acutely affected by the COVID-19 crisis, has raised $55M to date towards its $65 million goal. To continue to raise awareness of the needs of causes and communities across the state, KING 5 (NBC Seattle) will re-air All In WA: A Concert for COVID-19 Relief by Presenting Sponsor Amazon on Thursday, July 16 at 7:30 pm PT and KONG (Independent Seattle) will re-air the concert on July 18 at 8:30 pm local time. The concert originally broadcast on June 24 and brought in nearly 1 million views across Washington state with great acclaim from fans and viewers on social media.

Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos will continue to match individual donations under $1 million to All In WA causes, up to a total of $25 million (i.e., a $100 contribution would be doubled, providing a total of $200 to local and state funds).

The funds were made possible by generous contributions from individuals across the state and corporate sponsors: the Microsoft Corporation, Laird Norton Company, SeattleGenetics, Avista, Madrona Venture Group, Nordstrom, Premera, Puget Sound Energy, the Seattle Seahawks Charitable Foundation, Zillow Group, BECU, JP Morgan Chase & Co, Pemco Insurance, and Russell Investments. This is in addition to generous launch commitments from the Ballmer Group, Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Howard & Sheri Schultz, Perigee Fund, Nick & Leslie Hanauer, and Jim & Jan Sinegal.

“It has been gratifying to see the community and sponsors come together through All In WA and support individuals, families, and communities across the state. This is a long fight, and we need to continue to draw on the inspiration of those who are stepping up to support fellow Washingtonians in need during this moment,” said First Lady Trudi Inslee.

Highlights from the virtual benefit concert included a performance of the new Seattle anthem, “Glass Ceilings” by Travis Thompson, Macklemore, Sir Mix-A-Lot and Prometheus Brown, Russell Wilson and Ciara, a Pearl Jam performance of “Dance of the Clairvoyants”,  stories from Washington residents and frontline workers who have been impacted by COVID-19, including special segments that address the disproportionate impacts of COVID-19 on (Black, Indigenous,  and other people of color (BIPOC) communities, and an appearance from Bill Gates addressing the impact of COVID-19 on Washington and racial injustice. The concert is available on Amazon Prime Video June 24, 2021.

Fundraising will continue throughout this year as new needs are identified throughout the state. Donations raised through All In WA will help address the needs of a range of causes and communities including those facing food shortages, health disparities, those in need of housing assistance, small businesses, families and children, and essential workers. Donations can be made to the All In WA aggregate fund that will address funding gaps across the state, or directly to Community funds and Cause-specific funds across Washington. This includes the Black Future Co-op Fund, a first-of-its-kind fund to support the Black community in Washington state by responding to the disproportionate impacts on COVID-19, increasing resilience to economic and other shocks, and building generational wealth and the Potlatch and Na’ah Illahee Funds that support indigenous communities across the state who are facing disproportionate impacts of COVID-19.  A full list of participating funds can be found at allinwa.org.

Donations can be made at www:alllinwa.org through PowerOf, a new tool created by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation that makes it easy to find opportunities to help people and communities during the COVID-19 crisis. PowerOf has customized a page for All In WA so individual donors can easily find the funds supporting the causes and communities they care about.
